19-24 Oct 2023: EMC organizes training for Logistics in Baden, Austria

19-24 Oct 2023, Baden, Austria
The second part of the training program "logistics as a factor for competitiveness in the European Union" took place. The group of managers was highly various: Representatives from manufacturing and transport companies, from logistics centers and distribution companies participated. Lecturers from Austria revealed trends and strategies in the development of logistics, based on surveys among logistics companies and applied inpractical IP systems.
Three different companies of logistical decision were visited: Nm (dairying), Wuert (construction trade) and Billa(grocery chain).

Here are some impressions of the participants:

Mrs. Stefanie Andreeva, General Manager ofWelzInternationalConveyance Ltd: "I remember that we should expect anearlydeep crisis related to alack of skilled employees. In thefollowing years customer requirements will increase dramatically compared to service providers in logistics. The trendanent outsourcing of logistics and transport activities will be reinforced; thoseactivitiesshould become a super technology, because each buffer or lack of time must be compensated."
Mr. Ivo Ganchev, logistics manager at Teletek Ltd: "I'm impressed by the organizationof theworkat Billa. Some of the technical solutions I sawat thatcompanyare very applicable. In addition to generalglobalization and lifelong learning, I remember interesting facts about RFID technology. I am convinced that up to 3 years these technologieswill come to Bulgaria."
Mr. Stanimir Zhekov, manager of Fresh Logic Ltd: "From what we have seen withour colleagues in Austria atour meetings in large logistics companies, I realized that efforts as well as many investments are needed. Ifit onlyhas been toldwithout seeing it, I wouldn't understand it, because you must feel it."
Mrs. Iliana Lazarova, Transport Chief ofElidis Ltd.: "The seminar in Baden was very convincing: companies engaged in transport activities should offer more services to its customers. In some cases we have seen how logistics companies canprocess 4 to5operations in one production to range fromthedelivery of raw materialto the packaging of products and to the delivery of products."
