We are a new project, entitled “Exploring Houses Through Curiosity and Social Learning”, under the EC subprogramme Grundtvig multilateral projects, LLL. A project team from seven European organizations will implement the activities - DIKMEN Technical and Vocational High School (Turkey), Cocoate (France), Deri Jones & Associates Ltd. (UK), Cooperativa Cramars (Italy), Kaunas University of Technology - KTU (Lithuania), Cultural and Training Intervention Centre DOCTUM (Spain) and the European Management Centre EMC (Bulgarıa).
The project is aimed at exploring and promoting old houses with local groups - recording traditional craft techniques, architecture, design and history. The house is a source of a diverse range of knowledge and reflects the heritage of life. It is the home of different generations and allows us to pass on the experience and knowledge of the older people to the young. The project aims to inspire both young and old to use modern technology to understand and save their heritage.
House records produced by the team will be used to promote the architectural heritage in providing educational material for further use in vocational training courses.
Project activities will take place from November 2010 to October 2012
