26-27 Nov 2023: a training for CEZ Bulgaria EAD took place
Topics: "Persuasive communication, preparation and presentation of Power Point presentations, basic rules and business etiquette for business meetings and telephone conversations".
To meet the needs of a specific student group, the scope of the training was expanded. The maintopic "written communication in business" has beenchanged specifically for the needs of specific groups.
The trainingembodied a combination of theory and practice: students had the opportunity to reflect, discuss and put the results into practice lessons. A lot of people were participating, which allowedto apply different methods of training, such as working in groups andplaying games. The development of various types of written documents was part of the tasks during the training.
The grouphad adifferent level of knowledge and application concerningbest practices in business correspondence. This problem was negotiated withpractical activities, in which theparticipants had the opportunity both todispose the results of thelessons and to learn from the knowledge and experience of their colleagues. Apart from this, the participantsmentioned that most of them advanced, and in the final poll they conveyed, that they learned something new inthe training. The group activities and the requirements of CEZ Bulgaria for shaping the written correspondence shouldaccount forthe assimilation of standards and criteria for keeping a written record in the area "Logistics", which was one of the maingoals of the training.
A lot of timewas spentfor something that is increasingly important and an integral part of effective business meetings and phone calls - business etiquette. Basic rules andcompliances whichare essential for successful business communication were reviewed. Some subtleties were discussed and the participantsrecieved practical guidelines for effective meetings, telephone conversations and presentations.
The group waswilling to learnand was seeking new knowledge. The groupmembersparticipated inthe gamesas well asin the practical activities. The asked questions and discussed various options and situations. At the end of the training, even the mostinsecure onesfreely participated in the discussions. Immediate applications of new knowledgein practical tasks were madeby almost all learners.
Each student was able to take useful and practical tools for their work.
